Meditation

Meditation_coffee-stain_frame_edited.jpg

Returning, again and again, to the present moment.

We live in a world that constantly asks for our attention.

Meditation offers an opportunity to gently return that attention to ourselves.

It is not about stopping thoughts.

Nor is it about emptying the mind.

Instead, meditation is the practice of noticing.

Noticing the breath.

Noticing thoughts as they come and go.

Noticing sensations, emotions and the ever-changing nature of each moment.

With regular practice, many people discover a greater sense of clarity, patience and balance — not because life becomes easier, but because they learn to meet it differently.

Meditation does not ask us to become someone new.

It simply invites us to become more familiar with who we already are.

There are many ways to meditate.

Some practices are silent.

Some include movement.

Some use the breath, sound or visualisation.

What matters most is not the technique itself, but the quality of attention we bring to it.

Every moment of awareness is already part of the practice.

This is where guided meditation has become a stepping stone for many people that have decided to practice meditation however, do not get this first step going by themselves. Surrendering to the voice of the person guiding you into relaxation still is something rather intimate for many.

"The mind becomes quieter not by force, but through kindness."
