Returning to Yourself Through Movement

Returning to Yourself Through Movement

Yoga is often described as a physical practice, yet its roots reach far beyond movement alone.

Originating thousands of years ago, yoga offers a path of self-exploration. Through mindful movement, conscious breathing and moments of stillness, it gently invites us to become more aware of ourselves — not only of the body, but also of the mind, the emotions and the way we meet life.

For me, yoga is not about achieving the perfect posture.

It is about listening.

Listening to the breath.

Listening to the body.

Listening to the quiet wisdom that is often hidden beneath the noise of everyday life.

Every practice is different because every day is different.

Some days ask for strength.

Others invite softness.

Both are equally valuable.

Whether you are stepping onto a yoga mat for the very first time or have practised for many years, yoga offers an opportunity to return to the present moment with curiosity rather than judgement.

There is no finish line.

No competition.

Only a lifelong practice of becoming more present to yourself.

This is why I practice mainly Hatha, with a focus on energy flows, as for example with Chakra sequencing or Restorative Yoga in which we regain the connection to our body and re-learn to recognize and diferentiate our emotions and physical needs.

"Yoga begins where comparison ends."
